Thank you for embracing and supporting FAMOTM during the NZ lockdown. We trained more than 800 adaptive athletes during the two NZ COVID-19 lockdowns!

As NZ is now back level 1, we are enjoying our live sessions in the gym and no further FAMOTM classes are currently on offer. The only one running is the international class:

Thursdays:

  • 7 pm UK time, 8 pm South African time (mixed class, seated & standing athletes)

The classes is conducted via Zoom. The zoom calls will require you to register prior to the class. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

The fee for one session is 10NZD per person (GST included)

If you have ANY questions regarding FAMOTM or want to register please contact Michael.

We would love to hear from you and your community.

About FAM™

FAM™ (Functional Adaptive Movement™) is a strength and conditioning social enterprise with specifically designed programs for all ages to increase the overall health and wellness of those dealing with any disability.

These programs have proven to elevate the balance, coordination, confidence, strength, endurance, concentration, communication, capability, and life skills of participating "differently-abled" athletes.

Such improvements have been recognised in physical, mental, and emotional aspects by the individuals themselves, and by their Carers, Parents, Support Workers, and Allied Health Professionals and Organisations.

Currently, about 250 adaptive athletes are attending classes each week, yet the swell of interest in the unique programs of FAM™ have encouraged plans to expand the program further within New Zealand and internationally. Since January 2020, FAM is running the Strength & Conditioning training for Parafed Auckland.

Working out of seven respected facilities in Auckland, FAM™ utilizes active volunteering from the Community and Corporates' social programs, local Universities and Allied Health bodies to deliver fun-filled and energetic classes, while ensuring the safety and personal achievement of all participants.

The FAM™ programs and Community focus intentionally on a united culture and the belief that there are endless possibilities for all of our athletes and their affiliates.

Welcome to our FAMily
